HDPE
PE Pipes are available in ranges from 20 mm to 800 mm. Black and blue colours are available for water and associated applications to ISO 4427 and BS EN 12666. Whilst yellow is commonly used for gas to ISO 4437 and BS EN 1555. Whereas pipes with blue, red, orange and green colours are used for telecom duct application.
PE system consists of large variety of fittings of butt fusion, electrofusion, compression and mechanical and flange joints. Hepworth PME (Qatar) WLL holds kitemark certificates on it’s PE pipes manufactured for Water and Gas applications, also WRAS approval is available for pipes used for potable water application.
Physical Properties
The General properties of PE pipes are described as conveniently flexible, good fusibility, tough, strong, resists cracking, low frictional resistance, non-corrodible. The exposure of black PE to normal temperature does not cause degradation of the material.
